The Pleasant Countenance of the Moon
By Elly Potamianos
Within a glooming twilight a mitigated glow culminated through the
bear branches where ordinarily it would be obscurely concealed,
No ring around such an idle silhouetted profile; no haze to blur
the illuminating source,
Despite the vagueness it’s unusually warm and tranquil, enticing
and inviting not to repose, but to mingle and become associatively united.
